Printing cheques
Our production site in Courseulles-sur-Mer provides a wide range of services from design and conception of cheques right to secure dispatching.
We have very specific software for the production of banknotes when utilized have the major advantage of impeding photocopying, counterfeiting and cheque fraud. The graphic security features we use, some that have been patented in-house, guarantee our customers the highest levels of protection.
Our machinery, which is probably the most sophisticated in the profession, can simultaneously provide an unrivaled capacity to undertake the largest operations along with also providing maximum flexibility to meet the most specific customers’ needs.
Therefore we are fully equipped to carry out extremely complex manufacture processes such as printing bank cheques with registered watermark or safety inks integrated in the serigraphy.
Our facility in Courseulles-sur-Mer has a special “made to measure” workshop mainly dedicated to manufacturing letter-cheques or top-of-the-range cheque books in small quantities. Therefore, we can thus offer all our customers a very broad range of solutions encompassing all of their individual requirements.
Cheque books personalisation
Banking institutions entrust us with either solely printing of form cheques – cheques which will be then be personalized in their own workshops or they entrust us to manufacture their actual cheque books. In this case, our printing site in Courseulles-sur-Mer provides the paper to our two personalisation sites in Blois and Epinal.
These two entities are controlled by a common data-processing structure. Using absolutely identical materials, processes and procedures: each site is an actual mirror image of the other and can therefore provide mutual back-up.
Both our personalization facilities, and our security printing site, are certified ISO 9001 (management quality), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and OHSAS 18001 (hygiene, health, safety). They can thus answer perfectly the demands of banking institutions that require to work with responsible suppliers. It goes without saying that our sites have of course all necessary authorizations to exercise this profession such as the NF-K 11112 standard.
Cheque books orders are thoroughly tracked through out the production process (data collection, conception, manufacturing, finishing, packing and delivery). This tracking system relies primarily on our state-of-the-art IT systems as well as the professionalism and reliability of our workforce.
Additionally, we offer our customers tailor made customer service with dedicated contacts to ensure precise follow up on their projects. Vouchers
Our expertise in the security printing of banknotes and cheques allows us to perfectly master another type of product: vouchers. Vouchers are similar to cheques but also require sensitive processes as, like banknotes, they have financial worth, rendering them sensitive products to manufacture.
Issuers’ security requirements are very high for both the manufacturing site and the products they need manufactured. Oberthur Fiduciaire is the ideal partner in terms of security and over the years we have established recognized relationships with most issuing institutions.
We print vouchers on security papers with similar characteristics to the papers used in banknote printing: holographic band, registered or all over watermarks, moulded or fourdrinier, embedded thread or windowed, fibres and visible or invisible adornment. Our contacts with international paper manufactures specialized in this field allow our customers first rate opportunities.
Besides producing secure document paper, we also propose unique solutions in terms of secure design. The inks used are reserved exclusively for security printers and the printing techniques are specific to the fiduciary business. More and more, our customers now also entrust us with the design of their vouchers to benefit from our finest processes which are extremely dissuasive for attempts at counterfeiting.
Concerning personalisation, we have created a tracking program which covers the complete manufacturing process, from the arrival and creation of the voucher production files to final dispatching the finished product. This system enhances issuers’ data base and guarantees them that their orders are treated under the strictest security conditions.
